I begin the development of the GNU version of tcpdump from scratch bases on libpcap. I need more rensignement and advice apropos which kind of Compatibility with original tcpdump.
is there a development of a gnu version of libpcap ? AFAIK, there isn't; while I wouldn't mind seeing it I also do not see a need for it; we could have a tcpdump like program in inetutils that uses libpcap.
