How about a new release? I noticed Debian still has version 1.6, and if version 1.7 would be packaged it would have the issue with the man pages that we solved in trunk. It seems simpler and generally useful to just do another upstream release instead. If I can help with that, let me know.
I'm all for it, more releases == more fun!
