Dear all, I am now entering the Inetutils track with the intent of implementing IPv6 support where it is lacking. The first goal of mine is to deal with ftp and ftpd, then tftp and tftpd, respectively. So please inform me whether someone already is investing time here.
During springtime my contributions have made netkit-ftp and netkit-ftpd/linux-ftpd fit for IPv6 within Debian GNU/Linux, so I expect to use that knowledge to flow also into Inetutils. My patching of netkit-tftp/netkit-tftpd for Debian GNU/Linux actually predates those above, but is pending for various reasons. At least one member on this list knows my name, be it very briefly. I am trying to get Debian GNU/Linux to accept GNU Rush as a new package. It runs very smoothly, certainly since a tool "mkchroot-rush.pl" prepares all my chrooted trees from a simple descriptions.
