have no idea what you mean. misusing comments is a common practice and
didn't break C-programs, for example. however, the example wasn't
meant to be implemented. i am ok with extensions. one can use them or
not. the admin should decide about that. as long as the extensions
are clearly described as extensions i have no problem with them. this
again targets at a man page for syslog.conf.
