I can add that talkd-talk also works successfully on DragonflyBSD, which uses utmpx, unlike OpenBSD and FreeBSD (<= 8.3) where only a very minimal utmp structure is used. Unfortunately FreeBSD 9.0 has distanced itself from the widely accepted utmpx standard, so our talkd and the readutmp module are not supporting 9.0 yet. I will have a go at stimulating Jim Meyering to update readutmp. Regards, Mats
