Sorry but my question refers to the problem of getting a "Password:" prompt instead of a "login:" prompt with telnetd from inetutils-1.9.4. The "Bad address" problem was solved by upgrading inetd. > Do you > know if it works with a older version of inetutils? Can you execute > the telnetd binary directly? Yes. I can call the old binary as "telnetd --help" and get a help message. The old telnetd binary from inetutils-1.9.1 works flawlessly with the inetd from inetutils-1.9.4. The "Bad address" occurs when using inetd from inetutils-1.9.1. cu, brunni -- ++ Michael Brunnbauer ++ netEstate GmbH ++ Geisenhausener Straße 11a ++ 81379 München ++ Tel +49 89 32 19 77 80 ++ Fax +49 89 32 19 77 89 ++ E-Mail bru...@netestate.de ++ http://www.netestate.de/ ++ ++ Sitz: München, HRB Nr.142452 (Handelsregister B München) ++ USt-IdNr.
