I have been trying to compile libtool 1.5.22 on an HP-UX 11.22 system on the Itanium (IA64) architecture. It's been flunking about a quarter of its test suite.
I'm using gcc 4.1.0, no special LDFLAGS or compiler settings, and GNU make 3.80. I thought the configure & compile steps went pretty smoothly, but can recreate data from any of these steps and send you more info if you want it, or can try things with different options.
