Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right email address for this but...
The essay http://lilypond.org/web/about/automated-engraving/ is very good, and I want to print it out to show some musical friends who are not (yet) computerised. However, I find it an awful struggle to print. I've tried Mozilla and Internet Explorer and always something goes wrong with the images, especially the comparison of the Bach - depending on the browser version, it either straddles a page break, or gets clipped at the right-hand margin, or gets compressed down so as to be unreadable. Eventually I managed to get it to print "OK-ish" by hacking the HTML and adding WIDTH= tags as follows: Image Added tag --------------------------------------- baer-suite1-fullpage.png width=300 henle-suite1-fullpage.png width=300 baer-suite1-line.png width=600 henle-suite1-line.png width=600 finale-sarabande-full.png width=600 baer-sarabande.png width=600 lily14-sarabande.png width=600 lily14-sarabande-correct.png width=600 lily17-sarabande.png width=600 baer-sarabande.png width=600 but I don't really like this "solution" (besides anything else, it only works in one particular version of IE). CSS can do better but it's still a hack. Would it be possible to make a "printable version" of the essay, say in PDF (or HTML+images but made with printing in mind)?
