I tried the following:
\time 4/4
\repeat { c d }
\alternative { {e f} {g a | g f e c} }
The seconda volta tells bar check warning and prints a barline to g f | e c
So to have it work as expected I had to put \partial 2 to the first bar of
the seconda volta.
\alternative { {e f} {\partial 2 g a | g f e c} }
I think that this is a bug (2.2.0).
