I didn't but I will try it. I did already add the 'import tempfile' to
lilypond-book-bin-2.6.0 which gets past that error.
If I install 2.7.0 will it overwrite 2.6.0?
Probably. I would stick to 2.6.x.
Since you said "probably" I'll comment more. The x86 installation adds
2.6.0 (now 2.6.1?) to all the executables. If 2.7.0 is being added to
the appropriate executables then I can help with testing which I want to do.
