Are you sure that you tested? With todays CVS of 2.6, I got:
/usr/share/lilypond/2.6.3/scm/framework-ps.scm:418:5: In expression
(paper-book-write-midis book basename):
/usr/share/lilypond/2.6.3/scm/framework-ps.scm:418:5: Unbound variable:
paper-book-write-midis
I removed the call to this function in CVS, since backporting it seems
to involve some larger work.
