I was again messing with the file of the song "Don't bind the hands of

Shouldn't lyrics be within the linewidth of the staff by default?

Checking to make sure lyrics or markup are within the margins is a big computational task (I think it adds 5-10% to compiling a file). To turn it on, use

    \override Score.PaperColumn #'keep-inside-line = ##t

(I know this works for markup; it should work for lyrics as well)

PS I've added this to my list of things to add to the manual. It'll happen this weekend.
