The LilyPond application is indeed still a PowerPC binary, but the
command-line LilyPond tools that actually do the heavy lifting are
Intel-native, which can be seen by running the command-line "file":
file /Applications/LilyPond.app/Contents/Resources/bin/lilypond
/Applications/LilyPond.app/Contents/Resources/bin/lilypond: Mach-O
