latest 2.9 manual volta tie example

I the latest manual (2.9.23) the following is followed by an example 
where the tie into the first is up and the tie in the second ending is down:

       6.7.2 Repeat syntax

...

Ties may be added to a second ending,

        
        c1
        \repeat volta 2 {c4 d e f ~ }
        \alternative { {f2 d} {f\repeatTie f,} }
