The following example should show a problem (once treated with lilypond). It seems (on my system) that "below staff" lyrics are always well positionned, but "above staff" lyrics are slightly displaced (left or right, looks random). The problem is minor for this simple example, but may generate difficult to read scores in more complex cases.
In the example, "above staff" and "below staff" lyrics are based on the same \music and the same \word, but they do not appear equally placed in the pdf. Moreover, the result is not the same for the first and the second staves although they are programmed exactly the same way. I put a small example (.ly and .pdf) on my web pages, as well as a more complex example (a spiritual called "Lord, I want to be a Christian", .ly and .pdf) http://perso.orange.fr/mouchel_island/chorale/spirituals/test.ly http://perso.orange.fr/mouchel_island/chorale/spirituals/test.pdf http://perso.orange.fr/mouchel_island/chorale/spirituals/I_want_to_be_a_Christian.pdf http://perso.orange.fr/mouchel_island/chorale/spirituals/I_want_to_be_a_Christian.ly I use version 2.8.7, I have a Debian etch system. _______________________________________________ bug-lilypond mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-lilypond
