I would expect it to work for three reasons:
None of which are supported by the documentation.
1) Naïvly: it is represented as apparently working in the LSR
LSR is user-contributed. Unfortunately not all users know what they're
doing. The official docs always take priority over LSR.
2) It doesn't work when only altering from default (i.e. not reverting
from a previous override).
The default _is_ a previous override. Read the docs.
3) It *does* appear to work in 3/4 time:
Adding a beam-break is different from removing a beam-break. It's in
the docs.
Again, please read the documentation about setting automatic beaming.
In particular, the third example shows you exactly how to do this.
