Actually, I'd rather keep this the same way:
- I can fix the simple typo changes in seconds -- to be honest,
  it's easier for me to fix English just by looking at an email
  than it is for me to get a patch (save file, patch <
  ~/down/file.patch, etc).
- when there's more complicated things, I need to review them
  personally anyway.
- this flood of updates will end soon; this (I assume) is his
  initial review of the regtests.  Once he's done the first pass,
  future updates would just be periodic breakage.  (and those go
  to the google tracker anyway, not direct to git)
