2008/2/21, Frank Kupke <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: Hi Frank,
> Apparently Lilipond is not working on my Intel iMac running OS X 10.5.2. No it is not. This is a known bug that affects the Mac Intel application; you can see a huge discussion about it on our bug tracker: http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=504 > It starts up but only a blank menu bar comes up with the exception of the > application name itself. > There is no functionality and no user interface. Yes. We haven't managed to get the interface to work yet. > Anything I can do? The good news: yes you can. The bad news: it will be much less user-friendly (i.e. no interface, you will have to write your files using a separate editor -- I recommand Smultron -- and then compile them using the command-line, for instance with Terminal). Download the PPC version on lilypond.org, and then follow the instructions provided on http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.11/Documentation/user/lilypond-program/MacOS-X-on-the-command_002dline It is totally achievable, but you'll need to be more patient :) Cheers, Valentin _______________________________________________ bug-lilypond mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-lilypond
