MacOS X 10.6 seems to have broken something; building the font cache for
the first time takes an incredibly long time. If the font cache existed
from an older version of lilypond (such as 2.12.2), it's fine.
Creating a new font cache takes over an hour.

NB: the Priority field is not a mistake. The main developers don't have
10.6, so we can't really investigate it, so this won't delay the 2.14
release.
