A 3/4 bar is filled with a dotted half, not a semibreve. Duration for dotted half notes is two-dot as in "c2." Full bar rests (not notes) in 3/4 or any other time signature is always printed like a centered semibreve rest, for this write R2. in 3/4 or R1 in 4/4 -- Francisco Vila.
