I frequently have a problem with Lilypond (version 2.11.65) regarding its
calculation of what fits on one page.

All files mentioned and otherwise needed can be supplied.

This is an example how I currently get 2 songs on 2 instead of 3 pages:

1) I set the bottom margin to -1.8cm (in the file 150-1.ly)

2) I make sure the pagebreak in line 19 of 150.ly is not set

3) I compile 150-1.ly

4) of the result (lily1.gif) I use page 1 and discard page 2 and 3

5) I set the pagebreak in line 19 of 150.ly

6) of the result (lily2.gif) I use page 3 and discard page 1 and 2

In this way I can achieve having the two songs on two pages which is obviously
possible, but which Lilypond does not calculate correctly on its own.

If I set the bottom margin to the more resonable 1cm I don't get enough on page
1 (see lily3.gif) and I still get 3 pages. For many of my 160 pieces I had to
set the bottom margin to values of down to -4cm to get lilypond to still place
everything onto a single page. I wish this could be rectified to make page
layout easier:-) There is another project with several hundred songs coming
up...
