D'oh! I looked at that *so* many times, and somehow I overlooked that.
The way LilyPond works right now, I don't see an easy way to automatically
duplicate Walker's notation. We
could do \stemDown to force all the stems down, and then do \stemUp to
force up stems with flags as
needed. I think that's probably the best initial workaround. How would
you feel about that?
