times) you can read:
layer (integer)
The output layer (a value between 0 and 2): Layers define the
order of
printing
objects. Objects in lower layers are overprinted by objects in

layers.

It is, isn't it! That's why I suggested to Mark that
the wording in define-grob-properties be changed. This
wording is the source for both the NR Appendix and the IR.
I'll update it to agree with the main text in the NR - it
doesn't have to be between 0 and 2.
