(Now forwarded to the List) - Sorry... Hi
First, thank you for your answers! Am 25.10.2010 13:15, schrieb Xavier Scheuer: > No, this is not a bug. Oh - I have been playing an instrument on hobbyist level since childhood but haven't done other things than "just" reading and interpreting sheet music. ;-) > This is by far the most common convention, IMO. My first productive Lilypond usage was to extract a single voice from a complete score where I realized this by accident. - Normally I'd certainly have just played this octaved c and "forgotten" about the cis before - thus played it correctly. (After certain time you do just things unconsciously correct and get confused when you have to do things explicitely) > But many other conventions exists. Exactly that seems to apply to the complete score I extracted from ... > You should have a look at NR 1.1.3 Displaying pitches > Automatic accidentals > http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.13/Documentation/notation/displaying-pitches.html#automatic-accidentals > > and use > #(set-accidental-style 'modern) > for instance. Thank you for the hints, that will help. Semi-OT: In general the documentation was very helpful! At the very beginning LilyPond was quite hard but now I'm very positive about the quality of the output - and the speed increasement in writing in a very short time! Thank you for your work on LilyPond! Best regards - Mat _______________________________________________ bug-lilypond mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-lilypond
