the example in NR under 1.6.2 shows a strange vertical line at
staff begin:
\new Staff \with {
\override StaffSymbol #'staff-space = #1.5
}
{ a4 b c d }
I seem to remember this being pointed out by Valentin
a year or more ago. The line appears for 'staff-space
settings greater than some number around 1.22. I don't
recall ever seeing an explanation for it.
It's actually almost three years ago!
