Mike has uploaded a new patchset at http://codereview.appspot.com/4237057.
It applied to my local sandbox, altough there are a couple of trailing
whitespaces, at lines 200 aqnd 203 of the .diff. The reg test showed a
large movement in test-output-distance.ly so, since Han-Wen has begun
review, I'll leave the patch status unchanged.
