The problem here is that the check for collapse-height in
System_start_delimiter::print uses an absolute length (the default is set
to 5, i.e. the initial barline will not be printed if shorter than 5 staff
spaces; However, since you set staff-space to 1.5, the system has a height
of 6 and the barline will no longer collapse...)
