Workaround
\override DynamicTextSpanner #'minimum-length = 7
or maybe better
\once\override DynamicTextSpanner #'minimum-length = 7
just before the note that starts the cresc.,
because "dim." would needs less room and "decresc."
We could easily increase the default minimum length to make the issue more
rare, but I do not see an easy way to make note-spacing allow for the
length of the "decresc."
