Ahm, I don't think this warrants holding up the patch. The only point
that is still under discussion is the *description* of the regtest.
And I think I can reformulate that in a nice way (simply dropping the
"rather than returning to the default value", which makes only sense
if you know that so far this was the case. But this is not what you
would expect anyway, so there's no reason to refer to it.). Since I
got the LGTM from Neil and Trevor, I'll push in the next few days.
