I am fairly sure we no longer want this, now that issue 1790 is fixed.
With log levels, issue 1790, we can select errors and warnings only :
lilypond --loglevel=WARN input.ly
If we put progress messages on stdout (heresy) they would be mixed with
*real* output of Lilypond, such as \displayLilyMusic. With the log-level
solution, we can still:
lilypond input.ly >out.ly
