Thanks for all those informations.
This is much more complicated that what I had foreseen, and it is
unrealistic to do that for the first release. And there isn't much that is
already in latest texi2html or in tp, except for the node name
normalization code.
I see 3 areas of work
1. Use the new gettext-like framework for translations
2. The whole @translationof/xrefs translated node names support
3. Remaining customizations
The point requiring more work, in my opinion, is 2. But it is also
something that should be upstream.
