I just booted a Fedora VM:
colin@fedora build]$ uname -a
Linux fedora 3.1.6-1.fc16.x86_64 #1 SMP Wed Dec 21 22:41:17 UTC 2011 x86_64
x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
then used lily-git to update source, ran make and install, then
[colin@fedora build]$ which lilypond
/usr/local/bin/lilypond
[colin@fedora build]$ lilypond -v
GNU LilyPond 2.15.25
anbd it produced correct output from a simple test file.
