In the last edition this is used as well als the c8~c16 d e f so it seems to be an intended solution. I havn't found a real life example, where the beamlet is sticking out to the dotted quaver. Your idea regarding a "no beamlet sticking out" property seems to be a practicable solution; the workaround described in the issue is fine for the simple example, but is quite inconvenient in real life. kind regards, Martin Am 17.
