If a beginner's comment is allowed, I'm quite fond of the functionality and flexibility offered by the current interface. I agree it's awkward to explain, and I didn't mean to imply that the authors did a poor job with the current explanations. I would still suggest that it's more realistic to improve the docs than the user interface itself.
