I can see that some appendixes are 'auto generated' and some are not.
Actually I am very interested in knowing how to do what I think is adding
something like this - which I assume you mean uses Texinfo to extract
information to 'create' an appendix rather than explicitly write everything
out in full as if it were just another tely file - did that make sense?
I wanted to do something like this (for instance) in

which is how to set up documenting things in the internal reference.
