It seems to me that Mike's fix for 1943 was wrong.
His fix moved _both_ the PPC and the x86 darwin ports to 0.6, and removed
the commend that said we wanted to keep ppc at 0.4.
Issue 1943 was an x86 issue.
Seems to me we should have PPC be 0.4, and x86 be 0.6, and both platforms
would be happy.
