Yes, I heard from the mailing list admins that it was down. No
estimates on when it will be up again.

Going by the lack of activity on .devel it looks like that's down, too.
Looks like the approach you're taking on the OSX bug is exactly right -
thanks for starting to progress this - hopefully it'll bring results when
the mailing list is back up.
