I suggested spacing text with no interleaving; Mike agrees. Janek thinks
skylines could be nice in some cases, and just need a bit of padding.
So, let's track my request as requested, and soon I'll post a patch. Then we
can see where we miss having the skylines fitting the outlines of text, and use
skylines with padding padding in those cases.
Building and using skylines for the various types text increased the time to
set my scores by about 20%, so I'd rather use them only when they do some good.
