My method is listed on the German Lilypond User Forum since Oct. 10, 2011. [http://www.lilypondforum.de/index.php?topic=88.msg5464#msg5464] The registry entry calls a special compiled C program, which searches for Windows of 'Notepad' with this name, if it allready exists the window is pup up, then a 'goto line number command' is issued and finally the required number of 'cursor right key strokes' is forwared to the editor. And a final note to the PDF viewer: Since a few month I'm using using sumatraPDF because it does not lock the PDF output and automatically updates the view - and to make the textedit links working I added 'textedit' to the LinkProtocols in the sumatrapdfrestrict.ini file.
