The need to use both these properties for glissandi and beams is already clearly shown in the section you reference. What does this example add to what is already shown, other than showing they are also both needed for TrillSpanner? I think two examples are sufficient, considering the length of the NR. That said, I'd be happy to see a simple list added giving _all_ the spanners for which springs-and-rods has to be set to permit minimum-length to become effective.
