Why not delete it? We have something smiliar in the NR http://www.lilypond.org/doc/v2.19/Documentation/notation/long-repeats In case we keep it, I'd suggest to change the description how it is explained in the NR: " An ‘opening’ repeat mark is not, by default, printed in the first full measure. However it is possible to add one by using \bar ".|:" before the first note.
