Well, some basics would certainly not be amiss, yes. I'm not overly
enthused about these statistics as they tell only a small part of the
story, but then better to tell a small part rather than nothing.
In 2.16 Changes manual there was a link to the fixed issues in the
tracker:
http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.16/Documentation/changes/fixes-and-changes-after-2_002e16_002e0
where you can see which authors contributed (if the owner is set
correctly) and what they did. This _may_ be valuable and more concrete
information in the context of the sponsoring page.
