Here's something that may point to a solution: Lyrics avoid bar lines, but Dynamics don't. Maybe DynamicText can be taught to do the same? Not sure what causes Lyrics to do it. They definitely utilize different engravers, but my preliminary tests of including the engravers and overrides in the Lyrics context into the Dynamics context have been unfruitful. See attached to show what I mean.
