Sorry for the delayed response, the web forum has not been as actively
tracked as the [email protected] mailing list.
This sounds like a definite bug. Any time m4 issues a warning to stderr, it
should exit with non-zero status (note that this applies to include, but not
to sinclude). I'll take a further look into it.
