No, Gary's alternative 'bootstrap' is fine. It is customizable. All that I suggested is to define the list of modules and gnulib-tool options in the 'bootstrap.conf' file — which 'bootstrap' supports — rather than in the m4/gnulib-cache.m4 file. And then remove m4/gnulib-cache.m4 from version control. Bruno
