You 're right, it's empty. So what should I do?

Try removing it and re-running make. Make sure make succeeds.
If errno.h is still empty, verify make output: it should run
a special command to generate the file.

No success unfortunately. The command that did run to generate the file is:

mawk -f ../../scripts/generr.awk ../../mailbox/errors errno.hin > errno.h

However after the build failure the file is still empty. I should also report two warnings while running autogen.sh during after the cvs checkout:

$ ./autogen.sh
Copying file scripts/mkinstalldirs
/usr/share/aclocal/glib.m4:8: warning: underquoted definition of AM_PATH_GLIB
  run info '(automake)Extending aclocal'
  or see http://sources.redhat.com/automake/automake.html#Extending-aclocal
Putting files in AC_CONFIG_AUX_DIR, `scripts'.
/usr/share/aclocal/glib.m4:8: warning: underquoted definition of AM_PATH_GLIB
  run info '(automake)Extending aclocal'
  or see http://sources.redhat.com/automake/automake.html#Extending-aclocal

Thanks,
Dimitris
