It sure did help! I can now connect to the IMAP server without errors!
Many thanks! However, somehow the mail (your email) is not showing up.
I'm replying to you now using Sylpheed.

I'm not sure what the "mail moving process" is with "movemail". I think
that I need to wind up with something in the ~/RMAIL file - is that
correct? So does rmail.el tell "movemail" to do just that, or do I have
to specify a folder on the IMAP server and on my local machine, in
my .emacs file? TIA...
