Details:

The documentation section 10.2 Catalogue of Implicit Rules contains the
following:

    Compiling C programs
n.o is made automatically from n.c with a command of the form `$(CC)
-c $(CPPFLAGS) $(CFLAGS)'

But when I let this rule of off it, it seem like $(CPPFLAGS) and $(CFLAGS)
end of getting put before the -c flag.
