Mostly man page changes, as usual. However this time, I had to alter some build infrastructure to enable the man page changes I desired. Here's the full list of commits from my local branch, but I won't be submitting the ones marked "DO NOT SUBMIT"; they merely mark places where I locally ran "autoreconf-dickey". From a patch sumission perspective, these produce only needless churn, and also my copy of "autoreconf-dickey" is about 2 years older than Thomas's, so these commits would be doubly useless.
