Summary: wget 1.13.4 - Certificate check
Description:
Hello,

checking the validity of a server certificate against the ca cert takes a
long time.

wget 1.11 runs fast because openssl is used. In wget 1.13.4 gnutls is used.
(ldd cmd)

You can see the differences when you use truss.

Can you please compile wget against openssl?

Thanks,
Florian

In fact until the last release the transition to GnuTLS was mandatory and
only recently the support for OpenSSL was reintroduced. Do you need it
urgently?
